  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 20x20 cm (8x8 inch) baking pan.
  2. Finely grate the peeled sweet potatoes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the grated sweet potatoes, coconut milk, milk, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Stir in the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt, mixing thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  5. If desired, stir in the raisins.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 80-90 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove the Pain Patate from the oven and let it cool completely before slicing and serving. It tastes great warm or cold.
