Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into large chunks. Boil in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until very tender. Drain and let cool completely.
  2. Mash the cooled sweet potatoes in a large bowl or pass through a potato ricer until smooth.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). To the bowl with mashed sweet potatoes, add milk, sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Mix well until a smooth filling is formed.
  4. Pour the sweet potato filling into the unbaked pie crust and smooth the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the filling is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the crust begins to brown too quickly, cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely before serving. It's delicious warm or chilled.
