Ingredients
- 3-4 3-4 very ripe bananas
- 1 Tasse 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 Tasse 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 Teelöffel 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 Teelöffel 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 Teelöffel 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 Prise 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 Tasse 1/4 cup whole milk (or plant-based milk)
- 1 Teelöffel 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pflanzenöl Vegetable oil for frying
- Puderzucker Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl with a fork until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the mashed bananas. Add milk and vanilla extract and stir until a smooth, thick batter forms. Do not overmix.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat (about 350°F / 175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Fry the fritters for 2-3 minutes per side, turning once, until golden brown. Remove from oil with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar if desired.
