Ingredients
- 8 Scheiben Stale bread (such as Pan de Agua or brioche)
- 2 Tassen Whole milk
- 1/2 Tasse Granulated sugar
- 3 große Large eggs
- 1/4 Tasse Melted butter
- 1 TL Vanilla extract
- 1/2 TL Ground cinnamon
- 1/4 TL Ground nutmeg
- 1/2 Tasse Raisins
- 2 EL Rum (optional)
- Prise Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 8x8 inch baking dish.
- Cut or tear the bread into small cubes and place in the baking dish. Sprinkle raisins over the bread.
- In a large bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, rum (if using), and salt.
- Pour the liquid mixture over the bread, ensuring all bread pieces are well-soaked. Let it sit for a few minutes to absorb.
- Bake the bread pudding in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
