Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets, skinless
- 3 EL soy sauce
- 2 EL mirin
- 1 EL honey
- 1 TL fresh ginger, grated
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 EL vegetable oil
- 300 g jasmine rice
- 1 EL toasted sesame seeds
- 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
- 1 Prise salt
- 1 Prise black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the rice according to package instructions. In the meantime, prepare the teriyaki sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan.
- Cook the salmon for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of your fillets.
- Pour the prepared teriyaki sauce over the salmon in the pan. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it reduce until it becomes thick and glossy, coating the salmon.
- Serve the salmon immediately with the cooked jasmine rice. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and freshly sliced spring onions.
