  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan.
  3. Cook the salmon for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of your fillets.
