  1. Combine flour, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Add milk, softened butter, and egg, then knead to form a smooth dough. Add a little more flour if needed.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan assisted). Grease and flour a tart pan (approx. 24 cm).
  4. Roll out the dough and place it into the prepared tart pan, forming a slight edge.
  5. Press indentations into the dough with your fingers. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top.
  6. Pour the heavy cream over the sugar.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cake is golden brown and the topping is caramelized.
  8. Let cool and cut into slices. Serve warm or cold.
