Ingredients
- 1 mittelgroß Medium-sized Nopal (cactus paddle)
- 200g Pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
- 1 Stange Celery stalk
- 200ml Freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 Lime (juice)
- 1 EL Chia seeds
- 1/2 TL Agave nectar or honey (optional)
- Eine Prise Pinch of sea salt
- 2-3 Ice cubes (optional)
- 1/4 TL Cinnamon
- Ein paar Blätter Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash the Nopal and carefully remove any spines and tough outer parts. Then, cut the Nopal into smaller, blendable pieces.
- Add the Nopal pieces, pineapple chunks, celery, orange juice, lime juice, chia seeds, agave nectar (if using), a pinch of sea salt, and cinnamon to a high-speed blender.
- Blend all ingredients on high speed until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy. Ensure there are no large chunks remaining and the nopal is fully pulverized.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness or tartness as desired. You can add more agave nectar or lime juice if needed to perfect the flavor.
- If desired, add ice cubes and blend briefly to achieve a colder consistency. This provides an extra refreshing touch.
- Pour the finished Nopal smoothie immediately into two glasses. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves for an appealing presentation and an added touch of freshness.
