Ingredients
- 200g Glutinous rice flour
- 150g Red bean paste
- 80g Sesame seeds
- 50g Sugar
- 100ml Water
- 1 TL Vegetable oil
- 1 Prise Salt
- 500ml Vegetable oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, sugar, and salt. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Flatten each portion, place about 1 tablespoon of red bean paste in the center, and carefully seal the dough around the filling to form a ball.
- Roll the formed balls in the sesame seeds until fully coated. Gently press the sesame seeds to ensure they adhere well.
- In a deep pot or wok, heat the vegetable oil to 170°C (340°F). Use a kitchen thermometer to monitor the temperature accurately.
- Carefully place the sesame balls into the hot oil and deep-fry in batches, turning regularly, until golden brown and crispy. This will take approximately 8-10 minutes per batch.
- Remove the fried sesame balls from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
- Serve the sesame balls warm to enjoy their best flavor and texture. They can also be enjoyed at room temperature.
