Ingredients
- 500g Fresh cherries, pitted
- 3 Large eggs
- 100g Granulated sugar
- 60g All-purpose flour
- 250 ml Whole milk
- 60 ml Heavy cream
- 1 TL Vanilla extract
- Eine Prise Salt
- 2 EL Unsalted butter, melted (for greasing)
- Zum Bestreuen Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease an oven-safe dish (approx. 23 cm diameter) with melted butter and scatter the cherries in it.
- In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and frothy.
- Add the flour, salt, milk, cream, and vanilla extract, whisking until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
- Carefully pour the batter over the cherries in the prepared dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, or until the clafoutis is golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. The clafoutis will be slightly wobbly in the center but will set as it cools.
- Dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
