Ingredients
- 4 Large green bell peppers or ripe tomatoes
- 500g Ground beef
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 2 Zehen Garlic cloves, minced
- 150g Rice (e.g., medium-grain)
- 1/2 Tasse Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 Tasse Fresh mint, chopped (optional)
- 100ml Olive oil
- 400g Crushed tomatoes
- 200ml Water or vegetable broth
- Salz Salt
- Pfeffer Pepper
Instructions
- Halve and seed bell peppers, or cut lids off tomatoes and scoop out the insides.
- Für die Füllung: Zwiebel und Knoblauch in etwas Olivenöl andünsten. Hackfleisch hinzufügen und krümelig braten. Vom Herd nehmen.
- Reis, gehackte Petersilie (und Minze), Salz, Pfeffer und die Hälfte der stückigen Tomaten zur Hackfleischmischung geben. Gut vermischen.
- Carefully stuff the peppers or tomatoes with the filling.
- Lightly grease a baking dish. Place the stuffed vegetables in the dish.
- Pour the remaining crushed tomatoes, water/broth, and remaining olive oil into the baking dish.
- Cover with aluminum foil (not necessary for tomatoes) and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes, until the vegetables are tender and the filling is cooked.
- Serve hot.
