Lamb Chops with Lemon and Oregano

Ingredients
- 8 Stück Lamb chops
- 50 ml Olive oil
- Saft von 1/2 Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 2 Zehen Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 EL Dried oregano
- 1/2 TL Sea salt
- 1/4 TL Freshly ground black pepper
- Einige Zweige Fresh oregano, for garnish
Instructions
- Place the lamb chops in a large bowl. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
- Pour the marinade over the lamb chops, ensuring all sides are well coated. Let the chops marinate for at least 20 minutes at room temperature. For a more intense flavor, you can marinate them in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (about 200°C / 400°F). Lightly brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the marinated lamb chops on the hot grill. Grill for 3-5 minutes per side, depending on your desired doneness (rare to medium).
- Remove the lamb chops from the grill and transfer them to a cutting board or plate. Loosely tent them with aluminum foil and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. This makes the chops more tender and juicy.
- Garnish the lamb chops with fresh oregano before serving. They pair wonderfully with a Greek salad and roasted potatoes.
