Ingredients
- 500g Potatoes
- 500g Cauliflower
- 2 EL Vegetable Oil
- 1 TL Cumin Seeds
- 0.5 TL Turmeric Powder
- 1 TL Coriander Powder
- 0.5 TL Chili Powder
- 1 Onion, medium
- 2 Knoblauchzehen Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Stück Ginger, freshly grated
- 150ml Water
- frisch Cilantro, fresh chopped
- n. B. Salt
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into 2-3 cm cubes. Break the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
- In a large pot or deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and sauté until the onions are soft and golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
- Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, chili powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir well and cook for 1 minute until the spices are fragrant.
- Add the potatoes and cauliflower to the pot and mix well, ensuring they are fully coated with the spices. Add water.
- Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Add a little more water if needed.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
