Ingredients
- 400g Paneer
- 400g Tomatoes (pureed or chopped)
- 100ml Cream
- 100ml Yogurt (full-fat)
- 2 EL Tikka Masala Paste
- 1 EL Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 TL Cumin powder
- 1 TL Coriander powder
- 1/2 TL Garam Masala
- 1 Onion (small, chopped)
- 2 EL Vegetable oil
- Salz Salt
- Frischer Koriander Fresh coriander (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cut the paneer into 2 cm cubes. In a bowl, mix the yogurt with the Tikka Masala paste, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Add the paneer cubes and mix well, then let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the marinated paneer cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides, then set aside.
- In the same pan, heat the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Add the chopped onion and fry until golden brown and soft, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the pureed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and a pinch of Garam Masala. Let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes over low heat until slightly thickened.
- Stir in the cream and let the sauce simmer gently for another 2-3 minutes. Ensure the sauce does not boil to prevent the cream from curdling.
- Add the fried paneer cubes to the sauce and gently mix. Heat briefly until the paneer is warmed through.
- Garnish the Paneer Tikka Masala with fresh chopped coriander and serve immediately with naan bread or rice.
