  1. Drain the fava beans in a colander and rinse thoroughly under running water. Heat them in a small saucepan over medium heat until hot.
  2. For the tahini sauce, put the tahini in a small bowl. Add the juice of half a lemon and 2 tablespoons of cold water, then whisk well until a creamy sauce forms. Add more water if needed to reach the desired consistency. Season with salt and a pinch of cumin.
  3. Finely chop or mince the garlic. Roughly chop the fresh parsley. Dice half of the red onion very finely.
  4. Transfer the warm fava beans to a serving bowl. Add the minced garlic and a pinch of cayenne pepper, then gently stir to combine.
  5. Pour the prepared tahini sauce evenly over the beans.
  6. Garnish with the chopped parsley, finely diced red onion, and a drizzle of olive oil. Optionally, serve with additional lemon wedges. Enjoy warm immediately.
