Ingredients
- 400g Fava beans (canned)
- 3 EL Tahini
- 1 Lemon
- 2 Zehen Garlic
- 1/2 Bund Fresh parsley
- 1/4 TL Cumin (ground)
- 1/4 TL Cayenne pepper
- 2 EL Extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 Red onion (small)
- Etwas Salt
- Etwas Black pepper
Instructions
- Drain the fava beans in a colander and rinse thoroughly under running water. Heat them in a small saucepan over medium heat until hot.
- For the tahini sauce, put the tahini in a small bowl. Add the juice of half a lemon and 2 tablespoons of cold water, then whisk well until a creamy sauce forms. Add more water if needed to reach the desired consistency. Season with salt and a pinch of cumin.
- Finely chop or mince the garlic. Roughly chop the fresh parsley. Dice half of the red onion very finely.
- Transfer the warm fava beans to a serving bowl. Add the minced garlic and a pinch of cayenne pepper, then gently stir to combine.
- Pour the prepared tahini sauce evenly over the beans.
- Garnish with the chopped parsley, finely diced red onion, and a drizzle of olive oil. Optionally, serve with additional lemon wedges. Enjoy warm immediately.
