Ingredients
- 600g Chicken breast
- 100ml Plain yogurt
- 1 Lemon
- 4 Zehen Garlic cloves
- 1 EL Sweet paprika powder
- 1 TL Ground cumin
- 0.5 TL Ground coriander
- 0.25 TL Cayenne pepper
- 2 EL Olive oil
- 1 Prise Salt
- 1 Prise Black pepper
- 1 EL Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breast into 2-3 cm cubes. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well, ensuring all pieces are fully coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight.
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before use to prevent burning. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a grill pan on the stovetop.
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces evenly onto the prepared skewers. Make sure not to pack the pieces too tightly, allowing them to cook evenly.
- Place the skewers on the hot grill or in the grill pan. Grill for about 8-12 minutes, turning regularly, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned. The internal temperature should reach 74°C.
- Remove the cooked Shish Tawook skewers from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
