Ingredients
- 4 Scheiben Thick slices of sourdough or peasant bread
- 100g Fresh honeycomb
- 1 EL Unsalted butter
- 1/2 TL Ground cinnamon
- 150g Fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries)
- Einige Blätter Fresh mint leaves
- 1 Prise Flaky sea salt
- 1 EL Extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat a cast-iron skillet over medium heat or use your toaster. If using butter, melt it in the skillet until lightly foaming.
- Toast the bread slices in the skillet with butter or in the toaster until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Be careful not to burn them, flipping if necessary.
- Remove the warm bread slices from the skillet or toaster and immediately transfer them to serving plates. Drizzle lightly with a touch of extra virgin olive oil for added flavor.
- Generously place a piece of fresh honeycomb on each warm slice of bread. The gentle heat will immediately begin to soften the honey, releasing its sweet aroma.
- Gently spread the melting honey over the bread and lightly sprinkle with ground cinnamon and a pinch of flaky sea salt to balance the sweetness.
- Garnish each slice of bread with a vibrant medley of fresh berries, such as strawberries and blueberries, and a few fresh mint leaves for an extra touch of flavor and color.
- Serve the Psomi me Liomni immediately while still warm, allowing the honey to perfectly melt and meld with the bread for an unforgettable taste experience.
