Ingredients
- 150 g Spoon Sweet (e.g., walnut, cherry, apricot)
- 3 Scheiben Slices of thick bread (e.g., brioche or pull-apart bread)
- 2 EL Greek yogurt (optional)
- 1 Prise Cinnamon (optional)
- Einige Mint leaves (for garnish)
- 1 TL Honey (optional, for drizzling)
- 1 EL Butter (for toasting)
- 1/2 TL Vanilla extract (optional, for the yogurt)
- 1 Prise Sea salt (optional, on the bread)
Instructions
- Preheat a pan over medium heat or use a toaster. Lightly butter the bread slices for a golden crust.
- Toast the bread slices for 2-3 minutes per side in the pan or toaster until golden brown and crispy. They should be lightly browned.
- While the bread is toasting, prepare the spoon sweet. If the fruit pieces are too large, you can lightly mash them with a fork to make them easier to spread, taking care to still leave some fruit pieces intact.
- Remove the toasted bread slices from the pan or toaster and place them on serving plates. Optionally, add a pinch of sea salt for a flavor accent.
- Generously spread the prepared spoon sweet onto each warm slice of bread. Ensure each slice is well covered.
- If desired, add a dollop of Greek yogurt on top of each bread slice with spoon sweet. Optionally, enhance the yogurt with a hint of vanilla extract and sprinkle some cinnamon over it for extra flavor.
- Finally, drizzle with a little honey if you want extra sweetness and shine. Garnish the bread with fresh mint leaves for an appealing look and a fresh scent.
