  1. For the dough: Mix olive oil, orange juice, brandy, orange zest, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  2. Combine flour, semolina, and baking powder, then gradually add to the liquid mixture until a soft dough forms. Do not overwork.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough into small oval cookies.
  5. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
  6. For the syrup: Boil honey, sugar, water, and orange slice, then simmer for 5 minutes. Let cool.
  7. Dip the warm cookies into the cold syrup for about 30 seconds.
  8. Drain on a wire rack and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  9. Let cool completely before serving.
